I have a 32cc craftsman leaf blower model 316.794970. While using it the other day it locked up and quit. I could not pull the starter cord. I took apart the plastic casing. I took off he plastic fins and it seemed to break loose. I checked the carb and spark evenything seemed fine but won't even try to start. I just now took it down to the piston which is fairly heavily scored but the cylinder wall seems ok. There is evidence by the crank of scoring. Is it worth putting another piston in or is this thing junk?

Toss it. It wasn't a good blower to begin with. I'd take that money and put it towards an echo or other good blower that will last you many years.

Thanks I figured as much! When my wife bought it for me a couple years ago she asked the guy for the best one they had and this is what she got!

Yeah, it's hard to get a good piece of 2-stroke equipment at sears. Their riders are pretty good for the price, but I don't recommend their 2-stroke stuff. The wife had only the best for you in mind :D...she didn't know.
