We recently noticed that the door chime feature had stopped working. Since the backup battery was three years old, I briefly disconnected the power and replaced the battery. After powering up and resetting both the door chime and system date/time, all functions seemed to perform properly. Except, the door alarms will not sound. The alarm sounds during the alarm test, but not when armed either with delay or without delay (*9). During arming, the red armed light and all button and countdown beeps appear normal and suggest the arming is successful, but when a door is opened the alarm does not sound. Any suggestions?

Door contacts often fail stuck in the closed position. Locate the contact in the door frame and give it a sharp rap with the handle of a screwdriver. About half the time this will free the stuck switch.
It's only a temporary fix; you will still need to replace the contact. Once they start sticking like this, they will eventually fail completely.
