i have a heat pump that recently showed fan problems. The unit seems to turn on and off at the right time, but the blades don' turn. However, if I give it a push, it'll keep working... and the unit heats/cools properly. So the only problem I see is that the fan doesn't start on its own. I removed the grille and fan unit to make sure everything was clean inside... looks good. Is there a particular part that needs to be changed? Or the whole fan unit itself?
Thanks!
Stefan

My inital thoughts are a bad run capacitor (small canister shaped thing under the service panel), or dead spots on your motor.
