With your help I have successfully installed and setup a Vista 15p, 2 keypads, 17 wireless transmitters (so far) including wired and wireless smokes and IR detectors. All works great and the family has passed the user test for a month.

I would now like to move forward and purchase a monitoring services for the system.

When I purchased the majority of the used equipment a 7845-GSMR - Digital Cellular Communicator was in the lot.

First of all which direction should I follow for a monitoring services and secondly what do I do with this communicator?

You have to work through a dealer to set up a 7845GSM, especially a used one. They only work on AlarmNet.

There are a couple of AlarmNet dealers out there who work with DIY.
