I have gable vents and no soffit vents. house is 30 yrs old. I would like to install continuous soffit vents. My exisaiting soffit is about 3" wide and 50'long on both sides.Total sf is 1278. I am concerned about balancing and would like to know if adding soffits will be ok since i have had no moisture problems so far. The attic does get extremely hot in summer. I just had the roof done and did not put in a ridge vent. Will the gable vents work properly with the correct amont of soffit vent? Thanks for the help.
