I am replacing a steam system with high effiency hot water baseboard.

The plumber recommended using a Prestige from Triangle Tube with an indirect water heater.

Can some experts please chime in if this is a good boiler?

Thanks!

No expert, but that was what I bought after researching every model out there over a period of several years.

Me no expert on this either, but I think if you are gonna go with a modulating, you want to install extra baseboard if you can, so as to get your return temps to the boiler as low as possible, otherwise, there's no point in getting a modulator...

Do a room by room heat loss calculation FIRST! Don't buy more boiler than you need!

While I like the choice of Triangle Tube, why replace the radiators with baseboard? If it is at all possible to reuse the steam radiators as hot water -- even if it means repiping to them -- it would be well worth it. They are oversized relative to the heat load, and would allow the TT boiler to operate more often in its highest-efficiency condensing mode.

Keep those rads!
