I'm trying to tile my kicthen floor but I have this toe kick vent that is in the way. I dry fitted the cement board and ceramic tile and it comes above the vent. I'm not sure how to bypass this. The attached picture isn't my kitchen but the toe kick vent is quite similar to my just to get a visual of my situation.

I don't understand the problem. Why don't you just cut the board and tile to fit around the vent?
