Had a guy lay some vinyl flooring in a high traffic area. The flooring was peel and stick, but he opted to use an adhesive underneath to be sure it would stay. Some adhesive oozed to the top and now the whole area is sticky. Anyone know how to resolve a sticky residue problem?

He either used the wrong adhesive or did not let the adhesive flash off. If you get it clean chances are that the adhesive will never dry under the tile and this will be an ongoing problem. I'd recommend having him rip it all out clean the floor, let it dry, and install new tile using the proper clear spread adhesive. The adhesive must be let to flash off becoming dry to the touch before the tile is placed.
