Can someone please help me on how to program my 5804 or 5801 remote to my alarm system?

I have:

ADT.
Safewatch Pro 3000.
Currently have one remote (5804) that is working.

I want to add another remote key, 5801 or 5804.

Thanks in advance.

You need a manual first as you may have discovered from reading the previous posts a SW 3000 is a slightly modified Vista 20p:

Read through the programming instructions and see if it makes sense to you.

Thanks for the quick reply, MrRonFL.

I read the manual briefly, and it looks like it has the info that I need. I'll read it gain and familiarize myself, I'll try it tomorrow. I will post it here if I successfully program the remote.

Thanks.

I also have a similar situation.

My Key Fobs no longer work after I removed and readded my users. I assume I need to reassign the keyfob to the user but I have no clue what zone the keyfob is in; can someone tell me either how to read out the zones so I can tell which one is the keyfob OR tell me what the normal zone is because I am sure this is the default setup where it is in the first zone.

THANK YOU
In desparate need soon!!

If they used the standard configurations, the keyfobs go from zone 49-64, and each keyfob uses 4 zones. If you have an 2-line alpha keypad, you can use the *56 menu mode to view the zone settings (you have rounded up a vista 20p manual?)

OK well I am baffled.

My manual says that I need a "Custom English touchpad connected to the touchpad terminals". Since I do not have one the manual does not help me. Please confirm the following steps:

Enter Programming Mode -

1. Enter <Installer Code>+8+0+0

Display displays "20"

Enter Zone Programming -

1. Enter *56 and display SHOULD show:

SET TO CONFIRM?
0 = NO 1 = YES

2. Enter 1 for Yes

Enter Zn Num.
(00 = Quit) 10

3. Enter Zone Number (49-64; 49/50/51/52 for first remote and 53/54/55/56 for second remote; right?)

Zn ZT P RC In: L
10 00 1 10 RF: 1

4. Enter * to continue

Display which ever applies (others may if it is not a wireless remote zone)
20 = Arm–STAY*
21 = Arm–AWAY*
22 = Disarm*
23 = No Alarm Resp*

NOW What if I want to exit here and go back for the next zone in step 3? If not exit how do I cycle to the next zone and repeat without going to the end. How do I cycle zones. I need pretty simple clear cut instructions because I am a newb.

All I want is the zone numbers and the configuration so that I can reassign the remotes to the right zones.

NOW once I have all the zones and configurations then HOW do I reassign them so the remotes work again??

I am willing to spend my dime to call someone to get help over the telephone; but only through email should we communicate phone numbers.

Why can't I just assume that 49-52 are for one user and 53-56 are for the second user and then just follow this sequence (since the fobs are for my wife and I if they are interchanged then that is fine):

<master code>803#449
<master code>803#450
<master code>803#451
<master code>803#452
<master code>804#453
<master code>804#454
<master code>804#455
<master code>804#456

Would this work??

OK Now I am stuck... the procedure I used above has now got me in some condition where *99 will NOT exit programming.

HOW do I exit programming mode?

I need to get this out of programming mode and hopefully I did not damage any programming.

"If you have an 2-line alpha keypad, you can use the *56 menu mode to view the zone settings (you have rounded up a vista 20p manual?)" Obviously, you didn't have one.

By now, it should have timed out of programming. As long as you didn't inadvertently make any zone programming changes, you should be back to normal. Otherwise, just power the thing down and reboot.

Yes, you can make the assumption that they used the first 8 of the keyfob dedicated zones for your two keyfobs. ADT installations rarely diverge from the built in templates.

For connecting the keyfobs to a user number. From the installation manual on system security codes (page 6-4 in my copy):
[master code] + 8 + [2-digit user number] + #4 +[keyfob button zone number for arm/disarm]

I did power down and back up - it never seemed to "time-out" although I am not sure I waited long enough; it was late at night and I needed the alarm to secure the premises.

I tried what I said earlier

{master code}803#449 through {master code}803#456

One of those SHOULD be the ARM/DisARM and I tried one keyfob for every one of those and never got the keyfob to work. Is what I am saying here accurate (that one of those codes should have enabled the fob)??

I wonder if somehow when I deleted the user associated with the keyfob that I somehow deleted the keyfob itself?

Anyway, there is a ADT guy coming here tomorrow and hopefully he can tell me what happened.

The keyfobs are a lot harder to delete than that, but without knowing exactly _how_ they were setup, you are guessing in the dark.

With the 2-line alpha keypad, it's a 10 minute job, without, you are at the mercy of ADT.

Sounds like I need a 2 line alpha pad... *wink*

Thanks for you assistance anyway!!!
