It's worth fixing but may be a long wait for the part. The part # is ... 264102 .It's the power supply module and has been on factory back order for about 6 months now.I fix them at component level so theres no problem getting parts for that , but most shops will just want to replace the module and be done with it.You could call around and ask if any repair shops in your area will do that.

You can go to this link and download the manual. Service Manual D52W25YX1, D52W25YX10, D52W25YX38, D52W25YX39 (http://www.servicemanuals.net/ServiceManual/AllBrands/d52w25+/pos1/results.aspx) There are so many different problems that go wrong with this module , that I suggest you look for bad solder joints and burnt connections first. If those look ok , Then take some voltage readings using the diagrams and post the results back here and I'll help you out.

Plastic tabs are all that are holding it in the frame.Mark and disconnect only the connections needed to allow you to flip the module over so you can get to the bottom of the circuit board.
