I have a quirky loft apartment in Albuquerque, NM. The stairwell leading to my upstairs (which is well used by myself and my four indoor/outdoor cats) is open and unfortunately leads right above my kitchen storage. As you might imagine, I have a significant amount of cat hair, dirt, dust, grass, etc. blanketing everything underneath. I would like to drape fabric beneath the stairs (attaching every few stairs or so?) that would catch the dirt, protecting my food and counter surfaces. Any ideas on something that would look cool plus be easy to remove, wash and reattach? Any other ideas would be welcome, I just thought the fabric would look billowy and pretty.
I'm aware the stairs need a fresh coat of non-ugly paint!
Thanks for your advice,
Kim

Hi kimwilson505,
Why fabric? the cats' hair will go through the fabric anyway.
Why about some Formica, for example. You can clean it easily, even with a vacuum
