hi all,

I am in the final phase of finishing my basement and I just recently primed and painted 2 coats of semi gloss paint on all the walls.

After the painting was all done I ended up framing up another lally column with drywall and put in a drop ceiling.

I noticed the other day that the dust build up on my new freshly painted walls is unreal. I innocently ran my hand over the wall and it left huge streaks of dust.

I want to know what the best way to clean the walls is. Should I dry dust them, wet wipe, etc. I have never washed entire walls before and wanted some advice

Using a clean rag or most anything to gently remove the dust should do fine. The walls should be washable after a week or two.

A soft dry rag should work the best. It isn't really dirt right now but if you get it wet - it will be:eek:

A vacuum with a soft brush would be my first thought...

Microfiber cleaning cloth! Take it outside and shake it when it seems full. You can pick up multipacks for $10 or so.

Water and dust makes mud..I learned the hard way.
