My range is 36" wide. If the space between cabinets is exactly 36", the range will have to fit in exactly square and perfect. Since no one, at least I, is perfect, I figure I need to leave a little extra space between cabinets. My guess is the spacing should be 36 1/8", but the experts are in this forum, so what are your thoughts?

The wall cabinets above will be exact to the cabinet size, but there should be a small bit of wiggle room for the range. Get the exact requirements from the range manufacturer. They usually design to fit stock cabinetry, so the range is likely under 36".

I reviewed the range specs and you were right. It is already at 35 7/8". Good thing you brought that up or I might have had a big gap there. Thanks.
