I can handle the basics of square decks, posts, posts joists etc. I have a pool which is round and I was trying to figure out the best way to make the posts, beams and joists. Should I put a single post with v suports, and 2 beams coming out from the pool, then run the joists "around" the pool, OR the opposite, run 2 posts normall with beams going around the pool every so often, and joist running "out" from the pool. I know this probably sounds confusing, I'm just a hoby builder and enjoy it but don't know the lingo to explain it better.

It looks like I can't attach a picture of what I'm talking about but let me know if you need more details and I will do my best to explain!

Thanks!
Kevin

A picture is a good idea but off the top of my head, the second choice is correct.

Not too sure how big your pool is or what your plans for the deck is. Without any advertising intended, nor any solicitation intended (that's a disclaimer), go to Chandler's Carpentry, Etc. LLC (http://www.chandlerscarpentry.com/projectstwo.html) and scroll down the page. I built one for a customer one section at a time, tied to the next, then a deck on the back side for lounging. May give you some ideas.
