We are replacing a shower, shower pan, bathroom floor and possibly new counter tops. We have decided to use composite granite slabs in the shower. Is there a brand name that rates higher than others? Is there a site or publication that has rated these products?

I am not aware of any service rating those products, but I would suggest sticking with a local bath shop for suggestions, NOT big box.

Thanks for the reply. We will shop in a "specialty shop" for sure. I was surprised to see even Consumer Reports didn't rate these products. Wish us luck...

There are quite a few man made granite type products, most are much better than the natural stuff. Uniform color and pattern that can be ordered from a sample, not possible with the natural product. Does need periodic sealing. Will not support bacteria growth.
