Tried installing a TrueSteam HM512 with VisionPro IAQ to my Carrier 58MCB today. I followed the wiring diagram that was posted under a separate thread but the unit isn't filling with water and I'm not getting any control on IAQ for humidity. I am getting humidity readings on the IAQ and the HVAC is working (checked heat, cold and fan). I'm getting no error lights on the TrueSteam unit. At this point I'm concerned that the solenoid might be bad and not allowing the unit to fill with water which I'm hoping would then not allow the IAQ to adjust the humidity controls (checked the troubleshooting page for the unit and that was the last suggestion: https://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/PackedLit/69-2144.pdf).

Before I contact the distributor about the solenoid (I purchased over internet) I wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts. Did I fail to remove a factory installed jumper when wiring that I should have, etc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

As a follow-up...I rechecked all the wires and nothing was loose. I'm not getting any of the codes that people have been referring to (374, etc.) on the humidistat so I'm really confused as to why the TrueSteam unit isn't speaking with the humidistat. Again, the HVAC is working same as prior to installation. Just no communication with the TrueSteam.

I also contacted the company I purchased from with no reply. Basically told them the solenoid didn't appear to be working as it wouldn't fill with water.

Any thoughts on the communication problem or if a solenoid would prevent communication with the humidistat?

Have you tried the "Clean Tank" mode?

I find it odd that you are not getting any error code.

How do you have HUM wired up/to?

I have Hum to Hum 1 and Hum to M1. I basically followed the diagram you drew in another post. No error codes at all. I push empty tank and it starts trying to empty but nothing else. I think the problem is that it doesn't seem to be communicating with the humidistat. I can send pictures of any wiring if that would help. I don't even see any codes between 330 (I think) and 400 in the setup menu. So I can't even control anything to do with a humidifier on the humidistat. It does register what it says is indoor humidity (between 27 and 30%). But when I press the "more" button on the humidistat all it shows is that humidity level. It doesn't give me the option of increasing or decreasing. I don't have the outdoor temperature sensor hooked up yet but my understanding was that would only control the frost level. Do I need to have that hooked up in order for everything to work?

Sounds like you are not going into the correct set up menu. You'll need to follow the install manual set up menu (Two fingers apart from middle box)

But when I press the "more" button on the humidistat all it shows is that humidity level. It doesn't give me the option of increasing or decreasing.
Sounds like set up #372 is not set to 2.

No, you can leave it off for now, but when you do hook it up, then change #372 to 3.

Jay...I will try to get to that correct menu tonight and let you know if that works for me. I'm pretty sure its something simple. Just wanted to give you that advance thanks for assisting me with this.
