Hello,

As a new homeowner I thought that the vertical blind chain was too long on one of our vertical blinds (half of it was piling up on the floor).

I made the mistake of cutting about 16" inches off one end. This solved the length problem for awhile, but the chain has since "crept" up so that now the shorter end is so short, I cannot fully close the blinds. The end of one side of the chain reaches the pulley and the blinds can no longer move to their fully closed position.

Is there an easy way to "re-feed" the chain through so I have ample room on either end? Or do I need a new chain.

How do I do this? Can i do it myself or do you recommend a blind person?

most likely this will involve removing an end cap and possibly a pressure locking washer to reinsert a new chain you match up from the hardware store. Re feeding this through without removing an end cap will not work.

any idea what brand these are?
