Glass and Mirrors - scratched glass in door

any ideas on how to remove small scratches in the glass panels on a door. they were made by a razor blade removing stain from the glass after clean up.

If a razor blade scratched it then it's not glass.Typically doors have plexiglass or similar or sometimes tempered glass or safety glass.Yours sounds like plastic.

In many areas it's actually against code to use glass in a door.

Go to a hardware store and browse the cleaning section and mainly find a knowledgeable salesperson and ask them.There are a variety of possible choices but products that are carried vary.Some are regional and some only carried by certain retailers.

Plaskolite used to make a specific cleaner.There was a version in the Magic spray line.I believe old time Glass Wax might work if you can find it.

You can scratch glass with any hard metal..esp a razor blade. Plenty of cheap glass cutters have hardened steel cutters, and I know the edge of a razor blade is hardened.

I would talk to a glass shop about polishing rouge...

Be advised, the act of polishing can make the problem more noticable unless done correctly. Kind of like polishing just one area on the hood of your car.
