I've read many posts and still have these questions. I have a Vista 128 with a 6160v keypad. I am getting a fault 974 and now a code 970. I have removed the dialer numbers and reset the board. The 970 is new since i installed an ad2001 for a dialer on terminals 3and 4. The wires are hooked up for the bell but the code will not clear. What did I forget? The numbers for the primary and secondary dialers are 0, and pager options are 0 too.

970 is bell supervision. Since is sounds like you are substituting your add on dialer for the normal bell output, you should add a 2K resistor across the bell input.
I'm not sure about the 974. It's another system trouble code, possibly telephone line monitoring. I _think_ that this is one of the panels that you have to turn off phone line voltage monitoring even with the phone numbers deleted.

Thanks The dialer came with resistors. I wired the dialer off the cont. bell as a trigger, via a relay I powered from the board. I will also check the dialer too. Does it have to be so difficult?
Thanks!
I will let you know.
