I am trying to program the GE 8010 garage door sensor as group 25 for the simon xt but it will not trigger when it is group 25. If I make it any other group, then it triggers as expected?

It sends the tamper event when 25 but that is it. Will not send a open/close trigger when tilted.

Is there some reason why it does not trigger as sensor group 25?

thanks

Wrong group...use group 40. Brand new group designed specifically for what you want! Chimes on restoral, group 25 does not on XT...Make sure you have the chime programmed correctly. You have to turn on the Special Chime Feature in user programming (this is different from the normal chime feature). Special chime is for groups 25 and 40.

That works! Wish GE would document this stuff =)

Thanks again as always!
