I have a small wall at the end of my kitchen that I would like to put a counter. I have a laminate couter top and want to attach it to the wall like I would if it had a cabinet under it...but I do not want cabinets. I want to put a couple of bar stools and have the counter top appear to be floating. Is this possible with just the counter attached to the wall or should I try and place some type of "leg" under the front of the counter top.

What are the dimensions & weight of the couter top? Chances are you are going to need some support but it could be diagonal supports from the bottom of the counter to the wall instead of legs. It all depends on the size.
