I'm building a sauna that will have a wood burning heater. it's a log cabin (so combustible walls and floor).
Is there a source of information to help me safely reduce the clearance of the stove to combustible materials by adding heat shielding?

Anything involving wood burning is coming under close scrutiny. Your information source will be the manufacturer's requirements and approval by your local AHJ (ie state or local fire inspector) and insurance company. If you propose the mfg. requirements to the other two and they approve, you are all set.
