In December my horse barn burned down which was attached to my riding arena. The entire ceiling of that building is black with soot. I was thinking of renting a hydraulic lift and using a pressure washer with some type of solvent to remove the soot. Does anyone have any better ideas or suggestions?

im guessing its a unfinished ceiling just the ceiling joists showing? if it is pressure washing my help...a dry chemical sponge also works well on the soot
