Whatwould cause applied paint to smell like vomit.
Did a small area of wall that was repaired from a door hitting it.
I am using Sherwin Williams Harmony.
It is a latex eggshell finish.
It smells alright in the bucket but after applying the whole area around smelled like vomit.
A day later the smell has lessened but the wall itself still has the odor.
What would cause this and what can I do in the future to not have this problem?.

I've not used a lot of SWP's harmony line but I don't remember any unusual odor.
Latex paints can 'spoil' and have a terrible odor but you would have noticed that as soon as you uncapped the lid. Since that doesn't appear to be the case, I can only assume that you are overly sensitive to the paint odor which will disapate over time. Fresh air circulation will speed up the process.

Why would he be overly sensitive the next day when the paint was dry & not when he was painting it?
Denny, you said bucket, not can. Was the bucket used for something else before you put the paint in it?

I wonder if it's a chemical reaction to something. What was the location of the wall?
If you have a piece of sheet rock somewhere, put some of the same paint on it. See what happens.
