See pics-2 spots-one where the pen is pointing and one lower left just above the 3 white rectangular components...notice the brown circuit board. Any idea what these are and if they can be replaced?

They are resistors. There is no need to replace them .The replacements will look just like those in just one week of use.

My problem is that the pic goes into a single horizontal white line...other that that, it's great.

As craftsman stated the components are probably just fine. However, anytime you see signs of heat like that, there is the possibility of bad solder connections. Often they are visible on the solder side of the board by carefully inspecting the land area where the leads terminate. Another test is to (all power off of course) place your finger on the solder side connection and gently tap or wiggle the component. Don't break it off, be gentle, but your finger tip can sense the slightest movement which tells you the solder is loose. Carefully apply a touch of new solder and it is all set. Referred to as "cold solder joints", they are perhaps the number one cause of circuit board failures.

That is likely a vertical fault. The vertical citcuits is centered atoung the IC on the heatsink next to the tuner module.
