I'm planning to finish the concrete steps leading from my basement to a screened-in porch. I'm debating whether to use a product like SW Porch & Floor enamel or concrete stain. The concrete is unfinished presently. Any ideas to point me in the right direction or products that you would recommend?

No concrete expert...but they seem to be absent today....must be hunting eggs. I would never ever paint concrete that will see foot traffic. Paint is basically a surface coating that will wear with time. Some sort of penetrating stain would be a better choice IMO.
The best thing is to do nothing. Right now you have a basically maintenance free surface, applying anything will change that for the worse.

Gunguy hit the nail on the head. Nothing is better than maintenance free.
