I have a Triton bass boat 1999 18 foot premier. The live well is filling up as soon as we put it in the water. Not all the way but there is about 4 " of water in it. We don't know how the water would be getting into it unless it's going through the pump but shouldn't that be made with a check valve or something ?

thanks,
Nate

My bass boat does the same thing because the livewell is about at the water line so water fills it naturally. I don't have a valve to shut it off.

If I don't want it filled I use a drain plug in the inlet.

Mine does the same thing...it's a ProCraft. Has a push/pull lever under drivers seat to open/shut water flow to livewell.

If your pro craft is a bass model they sit pritty low in the water causing this. Nice boats, pritty fast too.
