I'm getting ready to finish a recently installed stairway railing. It had 1-3/4" square balusters, and beautiful large box newels. I want to stain it in whatever stain color would be considered a classic or traditional mission color (if there is such a thing). I'm planning to use Old Masters wiping stain. Here is their color chart. Which of these would somewhat resemble the classical mission color?

Reds, browns, or a combination of the two are the traditional colors.

We went with a reddish brown color by Old Masters, called American Walnut. Here is a link to some pix.
