Hello,
My heat pump is cycling at a relatively high rate. The outdoor compressor and fan turn ON for about 5 seconds then OFF for about 5 seconds. The ON time gradually increases about 0.5 seconds as it keeps cycling until it will eventually stay ON for an extended period.
Is there anything I can do to determine if my thermostat is causing the issue and/or if it is something else I could replace without having to discharge the system?
It appears to have the same issue when in AC mode. Right now I have my AUX heat on.
Last fall the outdoor check valve was replaced. They did leak check during the service and everything was okay.
Any help is appreciated.
Outdoor temp is about 45F
System:
Armstrong Concept 1000
Model number SHP10E30A-3
Thanks

Key Word is "WAS". Sounds low on charge. That is "IF" the unit has a low pressure switch.
