Hello,

I'm building shower seat and I'm making it out of 1/3” polycarbonate. I am planning to attach the polycarbonate panels using plastic epoxy and screws.
Will I get better holding power treating it like metal, and tapping holes for Machine Screws (http://www.fastenersplusinc.com/screws/index.html)? I'd probably use 1/4-20 machine screws. I have gone through many sites like fastenersplusinc for machine screws, but as I am newbie please suggest me if any other sources are available.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums! Are you attaching this shower seat to existing tile, or will you be tiling the seat and walls together? Machine screws won't hold in wood as well as wood screws, and tapping wood won't work. My worry would be the holes you create, the water that will get behind them and ruin your tile. Give us more details of your set up.
