Hi,
I'm replacing a Schlage door lock (knob style):
http://consumer.schlage.com/products/pdfs/Knob_Lev_P515-302-a%20F-Series%20IS.pdf
to a:
Schlage - Products (http://consumer.schlage.com/products/Productdetail.asp?StyleID=106&FinishID=1&FunctionID=)
I want to move the key cylinder from my old lock to the new one.
1.) How can I remove it out of the old lock?
2.) How to put it back to the new one?

The cylinders used in the F locks are not compatible in the FE locks, but both are "C" keyway, so you can take the new FE pushbutton lock and the key to your existing F lock to any locksmith & they will re-pin the FE lock to operate with your key.

OK. Thanks. I'm looking to replace an other lock. I want to replace a deadbolt lock with a double-cylinder as the lock is near a window.
Therefore, I also want to avoid exposed screws on the inside.
The commercial models appear to have screws exposed. However, I found this one:
http://professional.schlage.com/pdfs/pc/Heavy_Duty/B-Series/BSeries_Spec_Sht.pdf
Don't know if it is a good choice or not? However, it has a 6 pin C123 lock specified. Could this be re-keyed to the keys I have already (5 pin)?

The link shows a Schlage grade 2 deadbolt, but I take it you would prefer (as would I) a grade 1 Commercial bolt...that means the B600/700/800 series, which, not having one here to look at, I can't tell how they deal with the inner screws of the double cylinder version, but I know they are at least as tamper-resistant as those used in the grade 2 bolts.
The B600 series comes standard with a 6-pin (configurable to 5) "C" keyway cylinder, to be compatible with your existing key.

The B600 seems to be a good quality:
The Ultimate Deadbolt Door Test (http://www.arolock.com/ultimate_deadbolt_door_test.htm)
However, it is some more money as well (~100.- vs. ~45.-).

I'm learning more about locks than I ever thought I would!
I realized that prizing varies on the higher end locks depending on the options. So, I' m looking at the B600 on a we site:
P 6-Pin Cyl, Std C123 kwy $86.49
P 6-Pin Cyl, Schlage "C" kwy $86.49
J Less Full Size IC $64.17
BD Less SFIC $86.49
The J Less Full Size IC is the cheapest. I have to admit I don't know what this option is.

while I understand the desire to install double cylinder locks, it is important to maintain adherence to life safety and building codes first. That being said, if your selected door is a primary entrance, then the fundamental requirement is the use of a single cylinder deadbolt (turn button inner). Contact your local fire marshall for local AHJ.
