Hi,
I have a Coleman heat pump and it has worked fine all winter. Last night I noticed that the fan on the heat pump was on but the compressor was not. Then after listen to it for a while I noticed that about every 5 min. or so it tries to start the compressor but the compressor wont stay on.
Does anyone have any ideas? The model number is FRHS0301CD and it is a Coleman that is only 4 years old!
Thanks in advance.

First you should shut it off to prevent damage. Safty is #1 because your dealing with high voltage at 208/230.It sounds like the compressor is cycling on its overload. You need a volt meter and an ampmeter to properly check. If your not familar with those than you should leave it off and call a service tech.
