Hey everyone!
I have two problems ... and I'm hoping someone can provide some good advice (and pictures if possible). :)
We are putting in about 3 feet of paneling around the floor of one of our rooms. This room has a couple of challenges that I haven't quite figured out yet.
First, this room has windows that will be in the path of the paneling. These windows are insest with drywall, meaning that there is no trim around the window. I'm wonding what would be a good way to join the paneling to the window area without leaving the side of the paneling exposed.
Second, we have a door that we're planning to frame. What is the best method to do this? Should I rout out a piece of the framing so that the paneling can go underneath it?

How about casing the wndows out with wood stained to m atch the paneling?
It's always better to have the paneling under the casing/base.

Look into getting some paneling j-channel (get the right thickness for your paneling) for all your cut edges, and around your door trim and window opening.
