Hi,

I am working on buying a house with FHA. I have been to the house a few times and have checked the power and water. Today I tried to turn on the gas heater and the water heater. It looked like the gas was turned off so I couldn't test them.

A home inspector will be coming out in the next week or too. I am really nervous. Automatically I worry that there will be something wrong with the heater and water heater.

I have to go through FHA to get this house. Would I still be able to buy the house and just replace the water heater and heater if there are any problems with them?

Thanks,

Windy2

Sorry for the late response but I just purchased a house on a FHA loan and if I remember correctly the bank or anybody has no rights to the house inspection except you. They are more interested in the house appraisal.

If it's foreclosure or straight sale from previous owner and your going through FHA for financing??

foreclosure just bid down the price

straight sale, put a contingency clause in buyer contract deal is contingent on passing all inspections and working appliances that might come with the house.

Hope this helps Beer 4U2
