I've heard this is a common problem but the wonderful people at GE no longer have a tech support hotline and want to charge customers 89.95 for a service call. My microwave seems to be working except for the heat. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance.

It would probably cost more to fix it than replace it.I forget the part name right now but it's probably the main part that creates the microwaves and that's not worth fixing.
