I want to paint an old plaster wall but have it reamin aged looking.With the all the old imperfections remaining and the aged color. How do I do this? It is bedroom in a very old farmhouse. Help?

Your criteria is contradictory. Painting and retaining the same color? The only thing I can think of would be Distemper (basically milk paint [lime + skim milk or casein] with glue added). Distemper has been used on plaster walls for a long time. The only problem with using distemper is when you want to remove it. It's one of the
more difficult coatings to undo. Distemper can be colored, however, I don't know how you can retain the existing color of the plaster and apply a coating. The imperfections will remain.
