I have merry tiller it has 4hp b&s it need points
i went to napa and got the points and plug what is points gap setting anyone know please help

.020". Be sure the two contacts meet square and be sure to clean after installation by closing them and running a business card or something similar between the contacts. Make sure the starter clutch is tight or you will be shearing flywheel keys.

For a few extra bucks I would install the 394970 Magnetron kit and forget about the points. You will get a stronger spark and no maintenance issues.
