Yeah I wanted to ask a question concerning the deck Im building its 32 ft (lenght) x 12ft (width) Its attached to the house 2x10 ledger with 2 carraige bolts 1/2" Diamiter 2ft on center through plywood in to 2x6 that run the lenght of the deck. opposite ledger I installed 6 6x6wood post bolted with 2 2x10 on each side of post for girder system. The deck is 8'6" high with the joist being 2x10 16 on center my question is on the girder side I do not have any thing to attach to for latteral sway or do you think that when all the deck boards are on will that streghten the deck for possible sway. The post are set on the ajustabe simpson bracets that keep the post off the ground if this will not stiffen up does any one have any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated

A 6x6 with 2 2x10 on each side? Sounds like overkill. How are they attached? One 2x10 notched full depth into each side then bolted would have been fine. For a deck that high I would put angle braces from the post to the beam, you can also add a 2x4 under the joist from the house ledger to the beam on the diagonal, nailing to each joist with 2- 12d nails.
