hey everyone i got a buddie that wants to sell me a 1990's yz 125 it has been bored out.. not sure how much.. he says it wont run because the piston is a little to tall. he said it just needs shaved down... any suggestions on if he is right? and what would be better pay to get it saved down.... or just buy a new head to put on it?

Put the right piston in it.

If someone has been into the engine enough to bore it out and then they put the wrong piston in it and it will not run. You have no idea what else may be wrong. I might take it if they gave it to me for free but you just don't know what other things were done incorrectly.

HMMMMM, Buddy Eh, Bored out but not sure how much? Sounds like a good way to loose a buddy. Put your money in a bike that runs and you have ridin, all the way from cold start to shootin er up a large incline.
