I have an april air 400 humidifier on my system. Its about 2 years now. Its a drainless system so it is supposed to reuse the water and not need to drain excess out. I find that even with regular changing of the filters, it still pools water up in the bottom pan and ends up smelling like a fish tank. I don't want to be breathing that stuff in! Any ideas on what i can do to prevent this. i'm tempted to just punch a hole through and let it drain some place. I don't want to have to take this think apart every other week and replace the filter at $20 each, or waste my time.

What is your water like?

Well, or City water?

There is water treatment you can put in the bottom if you have to.
