How do I connect 4 help desk technicians to a common telephone number and do it wirelessly. We have tried the standard 900mhz, 2.4 ghz & 5.8 ghz systems and none have suffiecient power for our 5 floor building. We found a high wattage 4 phone system (851-881mhz). It is an EnGenius SP-922 and range is certainly not a problem it does about 5 km. After about a year (the warranty period) communication has become garbled and spotty and we can not afford the problems. This system cost about $2500 with 4 handsets. It was the answer, originally. Now we need a new reliable answer or information on how to improve the quality of this system.

en genius comes in two flavors , one sold to anyone with a checkbook and better quality sold only through dealers
a en genius dealer is your best bet for a project like this

I would consider throwing more money to make this system work but I can't see buying a higher priced product from the same company that sold me a $2500 system that is not performing to specs after only 15 months. This is not really about the money either. It is about delivering good reliable service to our staff. I can't afford to put this phone in the shop again unless I am going to get quick and effective results. We might try the extended antenna and hope it clears the problem but I feel it is more of a frequency drift than range problem. We are well inside the parameters of this phone. We are 5 floors not the advertised 15 floors and distance is nothing compared to the 300m-2km it should reach.

that's why you buy from a dealer
there's more to it than buying and installing
another option would be a traditional phone system with cordless and access points
there is a lot of specialized equipment out there and a good dealer ought to be able to help you with a solution
what your looking for is way beyond the scope of of a DIY project
