Need to know the amount of resin. Calulation are based on hardness and size of unit.

How do you make Calulation?
Resin amount,40,000 grains or 1.25 cubic ft
2 people using it.

The basic formula I was taught is:
30,000 grains @ 15 lbs of salt
20,000 grains @ 6 lbs salt
Using less salt is more effient. In your case, just times everything by 1.25
40,000 grains @ 20 lbs salt
25,000 grains @ 7.5 lbs salt
With 2 people that use an average of 75 gals per person per day is 150
1 ppm iron is 3 gpg hardness 2*3=6+9 gpg=15 total hardness
25,000/15=1666.66 gal between regens
1666.66/150=11 days between regens.
With mechanical timers, if it is a 12 day clock, you can only set them for 1,2,3,4,6 or 12 days.
