May I please have detailed instructions on removal and replacement of the clutch of a Troy Bilt string trimmer?
MODEL: TB70SS
Is a special tool required? If so, where do I find one, and what is it called?
Thanks!

There is a T20 torx screw in the end of the clutch housing, if you are going to disassemble it further remove the sparkplug and fill the cylinder with a small rope to block the engine from rotating. Have a good one. Geo

I would toss it and buy a new trimmer but that is just me. Too much labor involved.
Clutches often fail because the machine was operated at part throttle, not enough speed to keep it firmly engaged.
