My internet alarm dealer just went belly up and I need to unregister the module so I can find a new dealer/monitoring company. The monitoring company (Affiliated Central) claims that they don't have the pin# that the dealer assigned. The module is linked to a Vista 20P V5 panel. All of the system is a year old and I installed it myself. I have the 20P installer code, but most dealer/monitoring companies claim that I need the 7845GSMR pin# before they can have control of the module. I am even considering purchasing a Honeywell 7720P, however, I am not sure that will allow me to to reset the 7845 without the pin#. I don't know if there is an imbedded password in the 7845 as well.
Any thoughts on how I can unregister the 7845?

I dunno, we just call Alarmnet tech support. Can you ask affiliated central to contact AlarmNet?
Could be the old CS programmed the anti-takeover feature, if so, buy a new radio.

You were a victim of DoItYourself / Everlasting also?
I'm trying to work out the CSID of my system (which seems to have been set to something other than my own) so that I can reprogram mine also.
It looks like you can just register on Alarmnet if you know your MAC / CRC / CSID?
At least, that's what I assume the "city code" etc is?

Yes,
Ron and Tia seemed so nice to work with that it is hard to believe they did this to us. I haven't tried to call since Monday. I did get tech support people on X103 and X104, but they were clueless as to what was going on. Ron and Tia haven't returned my emails or phone calls since I got the termination letter from Affiliated Central. Affiliated Central claims they haven't been paid in months and they don't have the Pin#. I asked affiliated about other dealers, but the will not give that info out. I thought perhaps switching to another affiliated dealer would be a simple task. They were sympathetic, but not helpful.

I'm in the exact same position and I'm wondering if anyone else has been able to resolve this.

Pablito1,
I am trying to get a 7720P programer to see if I can access the module. I am hoping that Ron didn't password protect it so I can't get into it. AlarmNet had told me to work with another dealer, which I did. But they still wouldn't change the module for him. I do have the system up and running Via landline while I try to work out the 7845GSMR wireless issues.

I have been trying to get my system activated with another company, and have had no luck. the other company has tried to contact alarmnet and botom line, unless affiliated central releases the accounts it seems like my (less than a year old radio) is now a paper weight.:madhell:

Interesting how many of us have ended up here.... I am also in the same boat.:madhell:
Affiliated released mine yesterday - finally... :)
I am working with Nationwide now on getting monitoring set up with them. I need to try and reprogram the 7845GSM with their account info tonight.
We will see how it goes.
As for Everlasting... I guess they are not "lasting" :(
Several voice-mails and e-mail and not responds... :madhell:
They were great a year ago when I set everything up. :(

So what did you have to do to get Affiliated to release it? Who did you talk to and what did you tell them?

Nothing really. They were no help when I called them. So I kept using my alarm system and set it off a few times ;)
I am thinking it was still sending alerts to them and showing up as errors in their systems (guessing).
The other thought was that they may just go through once a month or so and deactivate the GSM modules that they are no longer monitoring.
They just released mine on Monday this week. They cut off the service on 3/29

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but mind if I ask how you are getting thru to Nationwide?
Last time I called I just kept getting the runaround as to exactly who I need to talk to. Im looking to setup Alarmnet-I and GSM backup.
Thanks.

I'm in the same boat and it looks like my radio was released just a few days ago so I was able to re-enroll it. I've run into a small problem though.... Terminal 11 (fail-safe) on the 7845 is wired to zone 4 on my panel and it's been showing as faulted every since the radio was re-enrolled and I power-cycled.
I suspected that the field 30 FLT REL ON Y/N was changed but the dealer tells me they did not re-program the radio or anything. I don't have a 7720P. Any ideas?
Thanks,
P
