My brother is opening a deli in an old house and the inspector wants the hardwood floors either removed and replaced with ceramics (which he doesn't want to do) or sealed to make an impervious surface suitable for a commercial kitchen. Does anyone know of a commercial grade clear sealer that can be applied over hardwood? The hardwood is fairly new (prefinished) and in excellent condition. This kitchen won't have the traffic of a restaurant kitchen, just one person preparing deli meats for a few hours a day.
