I'm in the process of rebuilding an older snapper Hi-Vac riding lawn mower.

I'm having a problem trying to connect the clutch/Brake cable on this, as the parts diagrams do not show this detail very well.

Can anyone tell me how/what the clutch brake cable hooks into?

Depends on which one you have. I'm guessing yours has the brake arm on the inside of the clutch drum with the roller on the other end. If so, the cable connects to a hole in a piece of metal that extends off the top of the small chaincase. It pulls the top of the small chaincase forwards to pull the driven disk away from the drive disk and put pressure on the roller of the brake arm to press the brake shoe on the inside of the clutch drum.
