Just got my old security system up and running again (after almost seven years) and needed to replace the sensors inside the doors. I remember the sensor was kind of like a track ball. The wiring still appeared to be there. I need to know how to install those into the door to make it work again. Worked intensly with computers but not with alarm systems and I can follow most directions. Help!

It's called a "roller ball" switch. They've been large replaced by recessed magnetic contacts, but if you are wanting to replace existing switches they are still widely available:

RB Series Roller Ball Switch (http://www.grisk.com/recessed/rb-01.htm)

If the dimensions on that site doesn't match up with your existing ones, the same maker makes them in about 3-4 other sizes.
