Installing new basement bathroom. Already purchased the moisture resistance drywall from Lowes. Just read that this may be to heavy for a ceiling. Is this correct?

Its not too heavy....Theres no problem as long as the joists are on 16'' centers.

Its debateble. USG claims that its not stiff enough for ceilings and you should definitely not texture it. But another company says its ok. So if you have it at your house then go ahead and install it. The worst that will happen is that it will be a little wavy between joists. A doubt that will happen but its possible.
