hello all. i have a 1964 simplicity 3416s with a briggs 326431 0127-01 16hp engine. i was wondering if there was an electronic ignition for that. i called napa but nothing. i need to get rid of these point.

According to the Briggs master parts catalog, 398111 armature will work with your engine. It is the breaker coil with the 394970 Magnetron conversion.There may be a problem if memory serves me right, the magnet polarity on the cast iron engine flywheels was possibly reversed so this system may not work.Someone may have up to date information.

i cant seem to find the 398111 part. is that part in the 394970 kit itself. i found that kit on ebay. i did find this
