Electronic Alarms and Home Security Devices - How do i Reinstall?

Ok so I have called like 5 alarm companies to come reinstall the system. Im frustrated with the run around. They all only want to sell me service if i do monitoring with them and sign a big contract. The manual is not that clear.

I did find the installer code, and that all the old contacts i have are already programmed. 2 are labelled in the system because it says DOOR or DEN WINDOW when i break the contacts. The rest just beep and I assume most all are just window. Some of the wired contacts attached.

To be clear i had hurricane windows and doors put in and i just want to reattach these.

My only issue is that it wont let me ARM the alarm because it says FAULT 03... and always says NOT READY TO ARM. It also has AC lit in the corner of the keypad. Not sure if that is normal or means dead battery.

Are zone 03 used for all windows? or is the fault with just a wireless device labeled 03? I did bypass and get the alarm to arm but what's the point of that.

If I could find a decent alarm company to come out I would. They never call back or only call and claim i have to sign a big contract.

Any help? Can someone POST an example of how to step by step program in a wireless device. I also bought 2 motion sensors and I would love if someone could explain the STEP BY STEP for that

Ummm,

What brand and model is the alarm system?

It sounds like one of the ademco clones.

If so, then zone 3 is a _hardwire_ zone, and most likely you trashed the contacts in the process of having the windows changed.
